There were a few technical issues at the start of the conference, but within no time we were off to a great start at 10AM.
When the delegates in the venue spent time discussing the workshop tasks, our online audience also took part and gave their views and comments to the workshop facilitator who shared them with the audience. The workshop facilitator also spent some time to type into the chat room the task set out.

We also were joined by Sibling Support in the chat room. Based in Australia, their contribution to the conference was their Video, played to delegates online and in the venue. We were very moved to be sharing such important resources and feeling so connected even though we were miles apart geographically
As you can imagine there was a lot of social networking going on also during the conference. We used many different #hashtags to tweet about the conference. Often this is a very exciting part of having a conference being streamed online.
At the end of the conference Glenn from Simpson House summarised what will be taken from this conference discussion and the exciting things ahead, thanking everyone involved.
Another exciting time spent online connecting and learning!
Loving your blog Saz!
ReplyDeleteIt was a bumpy start with the technology but soon settled down into a day of rich learning, thanks for taking such good care of our much valued online participants :-)
Looking forward to our upcoming conferences
